What Are Implants?
If you are missing one or more of your natural teeth, dental implants can replace the teeth you have lost. An implant is a false tooth that is implanted into your jaw. The implanted tooth looks and functions just like a normal tooth because it has the same rooting and structure as a natural tooth. We are able to perfectly match an implant to your natural teeth so that you will be the only one what knows about your false tooth.
Dental implants are the most convenient and long-lasting of all tooth replacement options. They look and function just like normal teeth. They are secure and durable and can be cleaned and cared for much like your natural teeth.
There are many benefits to dental implants including:
- Can be matched to your remaining teeth perfectly
- Will last you a life time if you care for them properly
- Never have to remove them to eat or sleep
- Eat whatever you want
- No speech impediment or slurring
- You can clean them as you would a natural tooth
- Bring confidence back to your smile
- And much more
Getting a dental implant takes a few visits to our office. The procedure requires a titanium root be fitted into your jaw to replace the lost tooth’s root. Once the implant is anchored into the bone, the bone around the implant requires six weeks to six months of healing. Once the bone has healed, a support post and replacement tooth is anchored onto the implant. It is a simple procedure that you will be exceptionally pleased you had done. At the end of the process you can leave with a beautiful new smile that will last you for the rest of your life, as long as you take care of it!
